In exciting news for Ultra Courts, we were given the privilege of taking care of constructing a new tennis court and sporting grounds at Gem-life Woodend. What better way to show you what we can build for you than by talking about one of our amazing projects, it’s something we love to do!

If you aren’t familiar with GemLife Woodend, it’s luxury resort living specially designed for the active over-50s and is based in the Macedon Ranges. The lifestyle community approached the Ultra Courts team to create a space for the residents to enjoy while being active at the same time. This fantastic addition enhances the close knit living community with some fantastic sporting amenities.

Catering for golf enthusiasts who want a little space to practice those all-important putting shots, we constructed a putting green complete with four holes and flags. Residents can putt away to their heart’s content and get themselves sorted for their next big gaming adventure on the golf course.

Play a little Bocce

What is Bocce? It’s a European ball game (belonging to the boules family) that is closely related to lawn bowls. Building a Bocce court may seem complex, but it’s actually not as hard as it seems. The court, constructed on a level area, is made from three layers and features crushed stone and fine sand, often topped with crushed oyster shells for a firm, smooth and low-bounce playing area.

Time for some tennis

While every court we produce is a work of art in itself, we love putting together tennis courts that are going to experience a great deal of use like this one at Woodend. This project encompassed an illuminated tennis court featuring premium TopCourt synthetic grass. Complete with the line markings, fencing and netting, we know this quality court will be enjoyed by the residents time and time again.
