Melbourne Tennis Court Rejuvenation
It was time to farewell the old and welcome in the new with this standout Melbourne tennis court rejuvenation.
Taking it from tired to terrific, Ultra Courts breathed new life into a worn out and outdated surface, giving it a tennis court rejuvenation and turning it into a space worthy of a standing ovation on centre court.
This tennis court rejuvenation is a showcase of what can be achieved with the best team. From a thorough clean to upgrading accessories and everything in between, Ultra Courts once again proved why it’s one of the leading names in the industry. Here’s how the transformation happened.
What goes into rejuvenating a tennis court?
Rejuvenating a tennis court is far more than a surface job. It takes expert knowledge and a multi-step approach to bring it back to its best—both visually and functionally. Melbourne’s climate can be brutal on outdoor courts, with scorching summers, cold and frosty winters and plenty of rain in between, leading to surface cracks, faded lines and drainage issues. That’s why any successful rejuvenation begins with a detailed assessment to evaluate the condition of the court and decide on the best techniques to restore it.
Before and after
The original court had served its purpose for an impressive 32 years (that’s what we call match endurance!). But the time had come for a refresh. We replaced the aged surface with the high-performance “Topcourt” textured monofilament—durable, modern and built for play. Fresh, crisp line markings went down to ensure there’s no debate on whether that ball was in or out—perfect for those competitive family match-ups.
The existing fencing was still in good shape, so we left it untouched. However, lighting got a major upgrade with sleek 445-watt Slimline blade-style LED fittings. Not only do they look sharp, but they also guarantee that every night-time rally is lit up perfectly.
The result? One very happy Ultra Courts and a court that’s sure to be the envy of the neighbourhood.

All in all, it was one amazing transformation. Game, set and match.
