Planning and design
Building a tennis court in your backyard is a substantial yet rewarding investment, offering numerous benefits for every member of the family.
There were a number of aspects in this project that needed to be considered for it to all come together.
There was a substantial amount of design and development in the beginning to get the planning permit done for this court.
Our clients could have taken the easy route, but wanted the court positioned where it engaged with the already established swimming pool and outdoor areas of the house, so multiple overlays were affected.
It was worth it to get the end result.
Extra court features
As with most designs at Ultracourts, each court can be built with the ability to cater for multiple sports.
The design of this court allows for basketball, soccer and tennis games to be played with the addition of a basketball hoop and soccer goals mixed in with the removable tennis netting.
The external fencing area of the court features chainmesh/soft netting, along with 400 Watt LED lights, so if you want to have a match at night, there’s nothing stopping play!
LED lights are an excellent choice due to their energy efficiency and ability to provide bright, even light without creating harsh shadows.
We also know the importance of the best playing surface and in this case the homeowners went with Ultrasurface synthetic grass.
