Here’s all the latest notable Australian Cricket News for March and April 2022.
Australian Tour in Pakistan
There is so much going on in Australian cricket news. In March/April, the Australian cricket team visited Pakistan to play three Tests, three One Day Internationals, and one Twenty20 International match. Australia won the Test series, part of the 2021–2023 ICC World Test Championship, with the first and second matches ending in draws before Australia won the final test by 115 runs on day five, winning the series overall. This was a notable victory, as it is the first time Australia has won a Test series in Asia since 2011.
Australia was defeated by Pakistan in the following One Day Internationals (ODI), winning the opening match before being beaten in the subsequent two, with Pakistan winning by 6 and 9 wickets consecutively.
However, Australia reclaimed victory during the final game of the series, the Twenty20 International (T20I), by three wickets. Overall, the tour was a success for both Australia and Pakistan, with Shane Watson calling it “a great thing for world cricket.”
