There is an abundance of court surface options available. A tennis court surface influences the game’s speed and ball bounce, and player’s movement and playing style. Your final decision depends on player safety, budget, climate and maintenance requirements.

Do you intend to use your court for casual play, or do you have more competitive intentions for yourself or a family member? Choosing a court surface to suit your needs, while taking into consideration external factors like weather all impact your decision. Let’s discuss some popular options.

Super court

A high-performance synthetic turf system, combining textured synthetic fibers with silica sand infill. This creates a consistent, wear-resistant field, improving ball consistency and enhancing safety with reduced joint impact. Specialised fibers have a high dimension memory, meaning they quickly return to their original shape. Force reduction minimises muscle fatigue, while the court is engineered for maximum wear resistance.

Ultra Pro

Constructed with texturised fibers developed from premium polymers, creating a strong and long-lasting surface. It is sand dressed, enhancing the density, comfort and stability. This makes for slower pace of play, ideal for recreational purposes. Soft and gentle, it reduces the risk of injury. It’s free-draining properties make it ideal in various weather conditions.

Pro Tennis

Mimics the play-ability of natural grass while providing excellent weather resilience. Advanced yarn technology offers a natural and soft underfoot, and consistent performance. Surface speed can be adjusted to meet specific requirements. It comes in a variety of colours, making it ideal for multi-courts.

50-50 Sand

A 50-50 mix of rounded and angular sand provides optimal performance by balancing ball traction, speed and durability. Increased contrast enhances ball visibility. There is balance with a smoother feel and less abrasion from round sand, yet the angular sand provides slower ball speed. Better court traction, safety and aesthetic appeal are added benefits.

100 Percent Green Sand

Visually appealing with a bright green colour. As a top dressing and anchoring sand, minimal upkeep is required. It holds synthetic turf firmly in place and facilitates drainage so playing can be resumed quickly after rain. It contributes to the eco-friendly properties of turf courts as no watering is required.
